Getting Ready For School

Updated: Sep 14, 2018

Today I’ve ironed and labelled all of Evie’s uniform, the glamorous life of a stay at home mum 😂

To be honest the summer holidays have been challenging and at times almost unbearable, there are times I literally cannot wait until it’s term time again.. I feel so bad for thinking it but let’s be honest here, being a Mum is such hard work!!

Evie is nearly 5 and is so ready for school, there’s only so much I can do to keep her occupied, days out are amazing but expensive so it’s not as if I can take the girls out everyday. But also even if I was rich enough to do that there’s still the cleaning to do, washing, shopping and ironing that needs doing!

Willow is nearly 3 and quite frankly an absolute beast! She doesn’t listen to me, she laughs in my face when I try and put her in time out and she refuses to let Tom do anything for her, she’s only happy if I do it all!

But before you call childline, please know that despite all of these things my children are my greatest achievement and even though they drive me to the brink of insanity I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I didn’t know I could love something so much until these little creatures came along, they’ve filled a huge void in my heart and I love them unconditionally.

So when I see Evie’s little uniform hanging up in her wardrobe I cannot bare the thought of her being away from me every single day for the next 10 years.. but then on the other hand, maybe it will be nice to have a cup of tea in peace without being asked how old everyone we know is 😂 😂

The joys of being a parent xx

Starting to feel real now
